Where someone lives outside the UK, advice is given by the Hoxton entity licensed where they live, under that entity’s own regulation. I remain closely involved in their planning.

UK clients may be able to refer complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service and may be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Where advice is given outside the UK, those UK protections generally do not apply, and the local regulator’s arrangements apply instead. We make the position clear in writing before any advice is given.
